Erik Foss • Founder, President

Erik Foss established Foss Marketing Group in 2001 to deliver high-caliber marketing and research solutions with superior customer service. His passion for his work enabled his success in various marketing and research management roles in both the advertising and e-business consulting industries prior to founding Foss Marketing Group.

Erik created and directed a regional Strategic Services department for Bernard Hodes Group, an Omnicom ad agency. There he was responsible to 14 regional offices for all client research and strategic problem solving needs, and increased regional revenues from marketing and research projects 80% year-over-year. Prior to that, Erik was the Western Regional Marketing Manager for TMP Worldwide, another multinational advertising agency.

Just prior to founding Foss Marketing Group, Erik was a Senior Marketing Analyst for EpicEdge, an e-business consulting firm. There, he conducted industry and competitive analyses, brand development research, and authored strategic marketing plans for clients such as Hitachi and Reliant Energy.

Erik has conducted primary and secondary research (including the development and execution of customized web-based and email surveys), and marketing strategies for more than 150 companies across every major industry sector including Amazon.com, Boeing, Disney, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Northrop Grumman, Sutter Health, US Bank, and Visa.

Erik also co-authored, edited and produced Screening & Assessment: Best Practices with Global Learning Resources, and co-authored Electronic Recruiting Exchange's 2001 Applicant Tracking Systems Industry Analysis and Product Guide. Erik is currently authoring additional works regarding best practices and business trends.

Erik also serves the American Marketing Association Sacramento Valley chapter as its Vice President - Records, and donates additional services by conducting web-based surveys for the various chapter business needs.

Erik, an experienced speaker and presenter, holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Erik and his wife are raising their two sons in Roseville, CA where he enjoys playing softball, coaching, and looking for his golf swing.
